What a way to end the summer here in the Northeast! Weather forecast looks great. Anyone going to be out on Lake Winnipesaukee this weekend? I expect to be on the water Saturday and Sunday.
Enjoy the weather!

Not ending the boating season...just the actual summer is ending. I will boat as long as I can!

Ohio weather is going to be BEAUTIFUL and I have five days off. Boat is loaded and ready to go. The Admiral is getting all of the finishing touches done. If I could have only convinced her to wax the boat!

Where you headed? My boat is about all done, just needs a polish :), which my admiral won't do either!

Boat's in the water ready and waiting. Haven't seen it in two weeks. Hope it's dried out since getting caught in this:

One more weekend after this hopefully. We've got the Cup race on the 20th so that weekend is out and then it comes out of the water the following weekend and get's winterized. Boating's not much fun up north in October.

Hearing your stories about putting the boats away for the season brings back memoires of years gone by in Minnesota. After 20 years in Florida and year round boating that would really suck. All we are praying for here is a little cooler weather. Went on a lunch run last Sunday and it was 95 degrees and not a breath of wind thought I was going to friggin melt.

You know, Dave, the V408 does have 16,000 BTU's of cockpit A/C available...

Oh yeah, there's the Florida crowd rubbing it in again about their "year round boating".... LOL

It's looking like a great weekend here in Ontario as well. I am looking forward to early morning coffee drifting out in the middle of the lake (seeing as the rest of the gang in my house sleeps in). A few more weekends and we will be out for the season too. We usually haul the boat to the inlaws for storage on the thanksgiving weekend.

I think this would be the last full weekend we will spend time on water at our summer nest in 1000 Island in upstate New York. We will bring our boat to Boston on next weekend... then we might take her to “Winni” few days in later of this month….

Stretch your calendar a bit - you can make it almost into December if you want. I usually winterize the first week or so of December, unless there is an early arrival of freezes. Thanksgiving on the water is usually as nice as can be - just buy a few Snuggies and you're good to go.
