...now the lake is too full to do any boating. Lake Allatoona is 13 feet above full pool and expected to go up another 4 feet by the weekend. I am sure Al Gore and the tree huggers will blame this flooding on global warming although the lake crested 3 feet higher back in the 60's. Allatoona Yacht Club at normal lake levels.  Allatoona Yacht Club at 13 feet above full pool.   This is the dock where our boat is slipped. Good thing we bought the paddle boat for the kids.

You guys in Georgia have been getting pounded with rain! I saw a pic on the news of an amusment park, I don't know if it was Six Flags or where, and the roller coaster looked like the Loch Ness Monster. It was an amazing pic. Stay hi and dry down there! Locally, here in North Carolina, we are in a slight drought. Falls Lake and Jordan Lake are both 3' +/- below normal levels. We are over 8" below normal rainfall for the year. Although the Raleigh-Durham area got 3"-5" of rain yesterday, flash flooding followed quickly! |

 I feel your pain. The water on Lake of the Woods and the Winnipeg River have been way above normal for the whole summer. Where the cabin is, water was 10' above seasonal norm. Lucky for us, we could still get to the water... |

We could use some of that rain up here in Ontario, Canada. Lake Ontraio is down atleast 2 feet right now and I am not sure if it is because they are lowering the level for winter or lack of rain. |

WOW!!! You guys are up 4 feet? We're down 50 feet in Lake Travis.... It's more a of a river now. justin |
