I noticed that the Four Winns website is all out of whack today. I'm hoping that they are just doing some regular maintenance or updating it for 2010. Does anyone have any inside knowledge?

It works for me... a little slow - but it works.

I think they won't update to the 2010 models until enough of the excess inventory is gone (including 2009 models).

Or, by boat show season in Jan.

Best looking 1 year old boat builders website on the net. Looks as good today as it did a year ago, when it was last updated. I suspect the 2010 update will be up shortly after February 15th when "The Big One" has concluded.

Too bad they're waiting. The 2009's were up by this time last year. It would do wonders for consumer confidence to see an update.

With the exception being that any 2008/2009 inventory still at dealerships would now be considered obsolete and obviously worth pennies on the dollar when the 2010 website is launched.

I'm betting this is a strategic decision to help bolster prices of 2009s.

The factory is building something like 7 boats per day... and I've heard that wait times are stacking up through February in some cases...

Not the same as the 10-14 boats/day that they were building at the top of the market... but at least its something.

I wish someone from the factory could be on the board -- it'd be great to get some updates straight from the mouth (but then, every manufacturer would know all the secrets - and we can't have that).

Yup. It works fine for me now also.

Earlier today I saw text and actually it was listing the 2008 models in misplaced text....it could have been an issue with my work computer I guess.

It was just wishful thinking on my part on the 2010 model year update. I agree that it doesn't make sense to update until it is more clear how this is all going to pan out.

Ok. Now this is a bad sign. In this modern world one sign that a particular company is either gone under or struggling is that their website mysteriously disappears.

I don't like it.

It works now, but I'm assuming they are changing things around because of the bankruptcy. This is the url that's at the bottom of my browser when I'm on fourwinns.com.

On a slightly related note, I've been waiting over 2 months for some parts covered under warranty from Four Winns. The dealer tells me they are having a hell of a time even getting anyone from Four Winns to respond to their order, much less send them any parts. Just to verify what my dealer is saying, I talked to a different dealer in California and they echoed the troubles - lucky for me the parts are fairly minor and I'm not using the boat anyway, but if I was SOL during the summer I'd be royally pissed.

It's too bad their troubles become our troubles.
