From Cobalt. Not sure of it's practicality, but leave it to them to try something new and different. This is the new A25 Bowrider that those of you that attended the Toronto Boat Show may have seen there. It will be making the rounds of most boat shows this year.

The first ever hydraulic swim platform on a bowrider. The swim platform will drop 10'' below the waters surface with the push of a button.

Very cool, but I question the affordability... If we thought Cobalts were expensive to begin with, this sure isn't going to help. WOW.

Looks sweet though.

That is not a Hydraulic Swim Platform... Don't let the marketing BS fool you.... It's a Single Trim Tab... :)

And I though it was an hydraulic toe-nail clipper

I saw the boat in person at the Toronto boat show and it's a beauty, but I'm not too sure what king of practicality an hydraulic swim platform serves on a bow rider though. Looks kinda scary to me, imagine a kid getting a limb stuck in there if it gets raised by accident, I didn't ask but I hope there is some form of fail safe like on electric garage door openers.

Finally! I've been waiting for something for those people that are too lazy to actually get into the water! That would be an awsome mod... and not tell anyone hehehe. I would have to rig it with the quick drop/rise option so it's more like a dunk-pad instead of a swim platform.

I need that swim platform for my 260h to get my mother-in-law in and out of the water. The last time she went in we couldn't get her out so I boated in close to shore and walked her in to shore to a dock to get back on the boat!

What it really needs is a "launch" option with automatic compensation for the weight of the launchee.

I was at the Toronto Show on the weekend and did see this - although I had to stand on my toes to see over the small crowd gathered. Very cool especially in a fairly small boat...overall the show seemed slightly les attended than previous years, and dealers and mfrs didn't seem to have as many boats on display - I guess the result on the economy. Especially noticeably in the sail section - not that that's a bad thing!
