So we don't hijack the other beer thread, let's talk about our favorite boating beers. In the summer it's a Fat Tire full flavored amber ale, in the winter a dark chocolaty Black Butte Porter. If things get desperate and we don't want to drink river water we will bum a Bud. ![]() |

I like a lighter beer during the day in the sun. Corona with Lime for me. After dark I like Bass Ale, Sierra Nevada, or other IPA's.... |

Miller Light or Coors Light is all I drink on the boat. We never take glass bottles with us so that of course limits the types of beer we can drink. I have been known to bring a couple hundred syringes of jello shots before...just ask this guy (Todd - former owner of Mutual Fun) ![]() |

I tend to want something in cans--but the Admiral insists on nothing but bottles--so our cooler is usually a mix of Corona or Tecate in cans for me and Sam Adams, Becks Dark, or Blue Moon in bottles. I also like 1 pint cans of Bitburger if I feel like something with a little more kick. OK--now I'm thirsty and tired of snow! |

Same as Mike for me; it's difficult enough getting the boat onto the pontoon when 100% sober! Graham |

As a rule I am strictly yellow can Coors original but have been known to steal my wifes Mike's Hard Lemonaid or any of the Mike's flavored variants. |

On top of that, my wife typically drives the boat back to the ramp, especially if I have had much of anything to drink. The times when I drink a little heavier, its because we are going to be out later into the night or extended periods when I have time to let it flush out. |

Old Leghumper? I have to find some of that just to have on hand! Wasn't trying to be a goody two-shoes... we had a drowning in the family when I was a kid, so I overdo the safety stuff a little. Stuff happens faster than you can bat an eye. |

I don't do any on the boat, mainly because the laws here in ontario are so strict, that it can get expensive in a hurry if you are spot checked. For example, you can be charged $200 for each open container on the boat. Have a empty 6 pack you are taking home to get rid of? That's a cool $1200 fine, even if the cans are in nobody's hands. It does happen too; just happend to friends of ours this past summer. For me (back at the dock) coors lite, or a nice icy sleemans clear makes those summer days just that much nicer. |

![]() At $13.99 for a 30 pack it's cheaper than water. The other nice thing about this beer is that you don't have to worry about anyone stealing a cold one out of the cooler. ![]() |
