Anyone interested in helping me put together a member forum reunion type gathering in 2007 with our boats in the water ????? Four Winns boat owners only!! I figure that wherever it is located, that a local Four Winns Dealer may want to help sponsor it and or boat stores.

I would be interested in meeting some of the members. The problem I have is I have no trailer, so to have my boat there, it would have to be on the west coast of Michigan. That may limit how many can participate. I'm not opposed to driving on land to a more centrally located spot that might be better for others who are not in the area.

Keep us posted with any ideas you might have.

Hey Cap'n, come down here to Kansas, and you can drive my little 230 while you're here :).

I might do a meet that's not too far from SW Michigan. I'd suggest the large Gull Lake in Richland Michigan. Some services like gas on the water there. VERY expensive houses, neat to do a slow cruise and check out the real estate.

What a great idea. I don't know if any of you have ever scene or heard of the Chicago Loop Boat Cruise, but it was started by a small group of Crownline owners. They would do an 8 hour, 70 mile cruise through the chicago river system (including downtown). It started out with just 8 or so, and last year they had over 100 boats registered. They always did it the last weekend in April to kick off the boating season. (Although the 4 years they did it, I don't think they ever had good or even decent weather)

I would definately be interested in such an event. As other people have stated, somewhere from Chicago to Holland on Lake Michigan would be awesome.

Man,
I'm new to the Fourwinns community, and am wishing I was a little more mid than west. We can't find anyone out in CO, NM, or AZ to hang with on the water. Anyone else out this way? We go anywhere from WY to AZ.
I'm Loving all of the forums here :D

How about we start by finding out where everyone's located? The frappr website lets you put pushpins on a map. That'd give us all a picture of who's where. Here's one:

Hey Bill, that is cool, and pretty easy to use! Hope more of the members add themselves to the map! Thanks for the link!

Could I ask one favor of folks? If you're going to add yourself could you include the model number in the text? The pushpin color for the model itself is great but it seems like it'd also be nice to know the model number of your boat. It's not mandatory. It might owners find each other for tips or questions about that model.

I've turned off display of anonymous visitor pushpins. I realize this means you're stuck joining frappr (yet another danged website to join...) but the anonymous pins tend to clutter it up with spam.

This is by no means an "official" map. Just a quick one setup on a free service. Setting up geomapping stuff is enough of a pain in the ass that I find it's easier to use frappr sometimes.

Should we be using our addresses or where we keep our boat? I used the zipcode for where our marina is located. It doesn't do much good to have a pin listing for our house in Bethesda.

I have a friend with a 26 ft Rinker who was telling me about an online Rinker boat owners forum which plans a Rinker gathering each year in a different part of the country. This year they're gathering on the lower Chesapeake Bay. People from all over the country plan on attending either by trailering or crusing in. I see quite a few of the other boat brands have organized them. I think having a FW gathering each year in different areas would be awsome! Go fo it iFourWinns!!!!

I found a place that might be fun for all who live in Michigan. It would be practically equa-distant for most in the state. I would have to trailer about 212 miles. It is located in Indian River, Michigan. I'll be there June 21st thru June 24th. Web address for more info is: indianrivermarina.com. They have everything we would need and there is a waterway to explore. Those who can't trailer, the site is accessable from Lake Huron and inland about 15-20 miles. It would be a nice cruise. Anyone that shows up, could be a start to something. And we wouldn't have to meet there every year. But like I said , it would be start.
