Took the boat out for a short joy ride this past Sunday just to make sure all systems were functioning properly and everything went well which I was pretty happy about as I have spent the last few weekends in the garage getting her ready to go. Seems every picture I take always has the cover on :( Try to get some more with it off. I meant to get some pictures of the upgrades done this spring to, but that will have to wait for another thread.

Just a picture before leaving for the launch. Notice with the air bags inflated how the truck doesn't even sag! Those were a good mod in themselves.

Beautiful boat. I can't wait to get my first outing completed. It is going to be 80 degrees all week here in KY and then drop to the 60s on Sat and Sun. Still might have to bundle up and get her wet.

Thanks for the comments and it was only about 65 degrees when we went out. Get a little cool after you get moving, but worth it!

We too got out for the first time this year. It was about 70 degrees at first and fairly chilly when I got up to cruising speed. The kids actually got in the water for a little while. Everything went well on the boat and I have to say it feels good to say that for us, the season has started!

Was able to get her out a few weekends ago and was the same here. Great outside temp but the water was 55. However, the water temperature is slowly increasing here, think it finally passed 70 a few days ago.

But the coming weeks temperature is suppose to be around 60-70 so doubt the water will keep increasing…a few more months and it will be around 85

Our decent size lake (88 miles of shoreline) in NC has a steam plant that sits right in the middle. I took my wife, 7 month old, and friend for a cruise last night and the water is already about 82 degrees. Last summer there was a point where we had to move to the other end of the lake because in some spots it had reached 91-92. It's nice for early spring and late fall boating.

Boat and truck both look great and I'm glad the air bags worked out well...those and a set of Bilstein high pressure monotube shocks are probably the best mods you can make to a tow vehicle....we have nice warm weather here too but not too many boats out back yet (LI Sound)...the weather is cooperating with my rot repair project (fixing rotted bulkhead in front of the gas tank...glassed in new wood and now all I have to do is sand down the filler nice and smooth and glass over it with some fiberglass cloth...hopefully the last rot I have to fix in this old boat....
