Yes the water in our lakes is generally very clear. The local lakes are all pretty much glacier fed. We have 3-4 large local lakes all within 30 minutes from home to choose from. |

Wow, great pics of a stunning lake. Reminds me of the lakes we have in the South Island of New Zealand with the snow capped mountains in the back drop and crystal clear waters that are deep and usually pretty cool (temp-wise). You gotta watch those submerged rocks near the waterline however....I gave the gel coat on my H190 a work out this year when departing a bay. With kids onboard I pushed the boat out and the bow through 180 degrees, when to my horror the side of the hull hit (fortunately at minimal speed) a rock just below the waterline. Just a small repair however it really pissed me off as it was the first damage sustained in nearly three years of boating ![]() I guess this kinda thing is inevitable so you just have to suck it up sometimes..... |
