I use one of those for the underside of my boat because it sits on a mooring from May to October and the bottom can get pretty grungy if you don't keep up with it. I just made sure it wasn't one of the "super soft" ones like I use on my truck. It needs to have a little "bite" to it. If you're talking about something to clean it in the driveway then I'd go with the "super soft" one. The telescopic handle is still nice for doing the bottom. |

I use one of those soft extendible hose attachment ones for cleaning bird droppings off the cover. I have a heavier cleaning hand brush for the non-skid, as well as heavier spots on the hull at the mud/water line. |

I have found the best products to be from Sherhold Marine. They make a telescoping handle with interchangable ends. A brush, multi strip shammy, boat hook, net and about every other widget you can think of. High quality stuff and made well. Got ours at West Marine. |

I use their telescoping handle and the "soft" brush for my normal boat wash. I picked up their new orbital polisher earlier this season and was pretty pleased with the quality. |
