I was just wondering if anyone has ever went to the Main event for Aquapalooza. It's something that I think I might like to do if it ever gets within a reasonable distance to PA. My only concerns would be how close to the stage you could actually get to or be able to see, and the traffic there are boats everywhere (at least from the pictures I've seen). |

It looks like a great time, and I sure wish Four Winns would get a little more creative with their marketing and put on some events like this or maybe some kind of publication like Sea ray living. I really enjoy reading Sea Ray living and who knows maybe someday I might even consider drinking the Kool aid and switching since I'm already reading the propaganda ![]() Sorry got off subject...I was looking at pics from Aquapalooza just last weekend of legions of Sea ray owners drinking lots of beer and packed in like sardines when I realized some....Is anyone fighting their way back to the boat to use the bathroom? It's a good thing they are always held in muddy water, but I bet everyone smells like a multi- vitamin by the end of the weekend ![]() |

I went to the one on Lake Travis this past summer. It was an awesome event to say the least. You would be VERY surprised at how well organized the tie up lines are. There are large anchored bouys on each end of the line that are marked and have a huge rope between them. You simply pull into the line and back up to the rope and tie your boat to it. The middle "isle" is a no prop zone for people to safely float towards the stage. There are pontoon boat shuttles that will come down the line and take you up to the stage to get closer, see the vendors etc... Sea Ray does a great job and I would encourage everyone to go to the signature event if you can. Its well controlled by security/police/lake patrol and a TON of fun. |

I'll go if they ever have one on the Chesapeake. There are a couple of the mini-events in the area that I haven't attended yet, but hope to make at least one of them next summer. |

Travis is probably my favorite TX lake. I bet you guys had a ball! |

We attended AQUAPLOOZA at Lake Norman, NC last summer. I could not believe how well it was organized for an event of this size (approximately 1400 boats). No problems entering, tying up or exiting, and the crowd behaved well due to the abundance of law enforcement officials. There were even officials to direct you to the closest lines to the stage. It was set up the same as stated earlier with defined swimming areas. Now that we have traded up to the 268, we can't wait for next years! |
