I came across this tonight, has had the manifolds and risers replaced, and seems to be in pretty good condition, just curious what some of y'alls thoughts are. Thanks http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/2084795411.html |

66 hours on a 9 year old boat? Is the number of hours a typo or is that the reason why all those repairs were needed? Good looking boat though. |

That's a beauty at a real good price! I too am suspicious of the hours versus parts replacement. I suspect the dash has been changed because of a bad VDO cluster and the hours got reset to "0" when that happened. I would have a Volvo tech pull the true hours off of the ECM. The boat looks in very good condition for Florida (sun damage is not really evident). If you are at all considering a larger boat this one is a deal. I would never have let mine go for that kind of coin and this one has the bigger motor, trim tabs and silentchoice that I didn't. I didn't notice if the trailer comes with her.... Offer $15K even and see what happens. |

My guess would be that boat sat for quite a while and wasn't flushed properly after being used in salt water. If it checks out good, it looks like a good deal. IMO, someone living in Florida and only putting 66 hours on a boat over 9 years shouldn't have one ![]() |

I have an appt to see this particular boat on Sunday, and if all goes well there, I plan to get in touch with a surveyor just to verify, as this is a heckuva deal as long as the boat is in good shape. |

That is a nice boat.... Older 260 are little bigger than new ones.. I am little suspicious with 66hrs on 9 years old boat.... I would strongly recommend hiring a surveyor to take a look at it... If survey comes out good then it is a great deal.. ![]() |

Our boat was 12 years old and had 60 hours when we bought it. It was a one owner boat, kept at a dealer/marina, who then brokered the boat for the owner. The owner would go out on the lake, anchor, return to the dock. Those low hours are unusual but not impossible. I did have a survey done, everything checked out. I'd be cautious but wouldn't let it stop me from checking it out. |

Went to look at this particular boat today, and if all goes well this week with the survey, it will be ours come Friday. This boat is in amazing condition considering it's age. It sat in dry storage on an indoor rack and was hardly ever ran. I made an offer of $15k as long as the survey is acceptable and he accepted. I don't expect there to be any problems, but we will see. Here's looking forward to an great deal!!! |
