Today is the shortest day of the the year for us northern hemisphere people, so that means after today everyday gets longer!! Does that mean the countdown to the start of boating season also starts tomorrow? :D Maybe I'm just trying to find things to get excitied about! Happy Winter Solstice!!

Also just wondering how many of you are keeping a countdown?

My thinking about a countdown is more like for our winter we are out of the water for about 6 months, so now we have about 4 months to go before we can start prepping (bottom paint, wash/wax) the boat for spring launch.

Merry Christmas to all you guys........

Mike.

Unless Cap'n is going south, I'll bet he is closer to splashing in 156 days as compared with 56 days. 56 days from now in the Michigan area the ice is still pretty thick. :)

Just took the boat out for the first time today with the kids and it was all smiles. Had dolphin playing in the wake, and the kids really enjoyed it! 8)

In NC we wait for a warm weekend, usually late March or early April, so about 90 to 100 days is our count down. I start dreaming about my boat in February. By that time I am tired of winter.

March is a little early here in Va, but not out of the question I'm ready to turn the key and go now! quote="240 Joe"]In NC we wait for a warm weekend, usually late March or early April, so about 90 to 100 days is our count down. Lake Norman is about 30 miles north of SC and boating in March is a little early for boating here in NC too unless the weather turns warm early- which happens about half the time. There's always hope!

SMLBound, I notice you have an H240 as I do. I love my boat for water sports with kids and cruising with my older friends. Hope you get as much out of yours as I do out of mine.
