I usually dont make much out of Christmas for myself or my wife, its all about the kids in my opinion. My wife and I put each other on a spending limit for the first time (for each other) this year....we never do that. Afterall, we just bought the 298 and in addition to that, I bought my wife something a couple months ago (big ticket, personal item). Needless to say, she went over the top. We made it a rule that whatever we got each other had to fit into a stocking. She bought me a monster stocking, and put a collapsed LARGE box anchor, boat hook, and a gift card to West Marine. What kind of boating stuff did you get? |

West Marine gift card....been spending the day on the website going through wants and needs and putting them in order. Problem is they both add up so, so fast. It was a very generous gift card but it won't come close to covering the list. Maybe I should cut back on the wants and focus on the needs...but where's the fun in that? FYI - everything on the website is 10% through this coming Wednesday. |

This is got to be one of the first years that I have got nothing for the boat.... No plans for anything for boating either, that is until snow melts and spring is here, then clean it up for some weekend camping. Most of my christmas was bike gear for new road bike. Boat kinda of an old toy now. |

I went over to the boat Christmas day and pushed all the snow off it with a broom, how it got 5" of snow on it being a 26' boat in a 30' slip I dont know but it looked pretty sad all covered with snow. Been a cold winter this year ![]() |

A belated Merry Christmas to all. I came out pretty good, Sherhold polisher kit, Sherhold pole with a brush and shammy head from the wife and a Carrot stick fish pole and level wind spinning reel to go with from our son and daughter. Needless to say I am a happy guy. |

Got a pair of Bose 151 outdoor speakers that I plan to mount in the flip up ski storage areas on the back of the H230 and point out so we can hear the stereo while in the water. I have some ideas on how to mount them on hinges so I could flip them up when needed--but I am open to suggestions if anyone else has tried something like this. |

I got some plastic fender hangers (never used these before), some rope, some waterproof, high quality lake maps. I was expecting a magma kettle grill but my wife said I would be too nervous having fire/hot food/dripping grease etc. on the boat. She's right - I don't think I would enjoy the experience, not out of safety concerns, but for all the potential harms to the boat. OCD'll kill ya'. ![]() |

Well, got my new Sony head unit today. cdx-M60UI. It has AUX input on front and also is completely IPOD enabled. I can also add a transom remote and a subwoofer (with my next gift cards) ![]() Should be an easy swap out with my current Sony unit... ![]() |

I also got this unit for Xmas. I plan to swap out the radio in the next couple of months. Please let me know if you run into any snags. I am planning to add on to this as well. JL Audio Amp, speakers and sub (or perhaps a bazooka). Your opinions / suggestions would be appreciated. Craig C. Kelleyo wrote: Well,
