Post subject:  Boat Length

I have a question as it relates to overall boat lengths. We have an H210 SS, and you would think the actual length would be 21' or something like 19' 6". However, our overall length from tip to tail is 22'. Perhaps the 21' is the interior only??? That wouldn't make much sense since the swim platform is well over a foot in length. Im sure someone on here can help me understand this process.

Thanks in advance
Jim

Our 298 is 31' with the swim platform, 28' without.

verpoort,
Might re-check. By the book, the 210SS is (i think) 20' 4"; whereas the 200 is almost the same and the 220 is closer 23' LOA.

Just check the specs on the FW website

H190: 18'-6"

H200: 19'-8"

H210: 20'-10"

H220: 22'-0"

What is there to understand?

Four Winns has used different naming/boat length designations over the years. As of right now they are "rounding" up.

I'm not sure what you are saying.

Did you measure it yourself and get 22'?

How did you measure it?

with a tape measure that I put underneath the boat, positioning the end of the tape at the tip of the boat and then read the distance where the end of the boat stops. My boat measures 22'

Not including the outdrive, right?

Did you just eyball it to make sure you were straight down on the tape? Or did you use a plumbline or some other device to confirm you were straight down? You could easily be several inches off if you just eyeball it. More than a foot off, does seem a bit excessive...to a point that something isn't adding up.

Maybe you actually got an H220...

The trailer cover was just over a thousand. It would be probably be around $800 for you being in the States, Us Canadians get burned on everything we bring over the boarder. As for the facts on the cover I highly recommend one. It comes with the poles to keep the water from pooling when your not traveling down the road. Looks good too.
