Looking for a sort of rubber mat to glue/screw to this platform at the back of our Horizon. Anyone done this before? Any suggestions where to get the right material? Been to Lowes and Home Depot and didnt like what I saw.

We wakeboard a bunch and are scratching the mess out of this platform right now so looking for alternatives

Thanks all

I had it on my old boat & will install it this spring on my new boat. In other words, I like it!!

I would go with dark colors, easy to clean, but it will pick up the dirt a little. It's GREAT for those non-boater who try to board the boat. Or in rough seas, if you had to stand on the platform.

Be careful of the Dark colors in the sun. Even wet they are VERY hot.

On that boat, a light grey that matches the grey on the sun pad might look nice.
BTW, my boat is the same, except I have the red (oxidized) hull from the rub rail down, otherwise identical.

Mine is the snap on rubberized type and i like having it....can remove easily and clean. The one I have is a dark charcoal color and yep - it's HOT....just splash some water up there and it will cool the hoofs.

sea-deck or hydro-turf. If you do a search for swim platform mats there are some companys that have pre-cut/shaped ones. Most you glue down. I have done a boat (an older sea ray) this way and it does look and last good, but it does get hot in a hurry.

Are there available covers thru FW's dealers, or is my only option doing a custom job? Sea Dek doesn't have a cover for my model FW, so I would have to get a template kit and send it back to them. I guess that is ok. I wonder if they put on the FW logo, and if that logo itself would be slippery (defeating the purpose of getting the pad). Also what do you all think is more desirable - a snap on cover, or a glue on cover?
