I had an awesome experience buying my Four Winns from G and R marine in CT a few years ago. I was just looking at their web site and noticed that they are no longer selling four winns. The owner seemed to truly appreciate and respect the Four Winns brand. Anyone know why?
Thanks

At the time of the transition to Platinum Equity, Bryan at G&R told me that they were uncomfortable with the new owner being an investment company in addition to having gone through two bankruptcies with FW in ten years. He felt it was time to move on and picked up Regal because they are family owned with no debt and he knows the family very well having sold their boat before.

I also had an excellent experience buying my V358 from him and would welcome the opportunity to give him my business again.

Yeah,
pretty much what Sierra said...he had also told me that there were signficant time lags during the bankruptcy when he was calling on warranty issues and could not get his customers answers. Worked out for me in that I was in the market for a Sport Coupe and fell in love with the Regal, which Bryan had just picked up...kept a very good long term relationship.

Looks to be happening in many places. Winnisquam Marine in NH was only a Four Winns dealer for decades. Last year they started carrying Crownline, in addition to other manufacturers for pontoon boats, etc. While they are still Four Winns, their marketing has noticeably shifted, I expect for the same reasons stated above.

Don't know oficially, but my FW dealership at the Smith Mountain Lake seems to be stocking Regal boats instead of Four Winns now. I'll have to ask them if they'e dropped the line too.
