| Post subject: | Engin compartment latch on SL242 |
Does anyone have an engin latch issue? When I sit on the rear seat over the engine, the latch come undone. I can't find any adjustment and it's driving me crazy. I dont know if this design is specific to the SL line but I can't imagine it is, Any fixes would be appreciated. |

I do not have that issue. My 2010 sl242 actually has a strap that covers the latch and buttons down. I have also noticed that the 2011's have changed to a 2 latch system. |

I am late to the party here but yes, I have the issue. Sounds like after 2009 it has been redesigned. My dealer did make an adjustment so it doesn't happen as often but it will still happen occasionally. It is a terrible design. |
