I did some searches on the forum, and I found many posts on when the tilt limit sender goes bad, but how should it work when it is good? I finally got the battery in the boat for the first time yesterday. When I trimmed the drive all the way down, I hit the trim up switch, and it worked for only a few seconds, and barely moved the drive. The gauge moved to the second line up (which I took a picture of it now) then stopped. If I wanted to tril further than that, I would have to hold the trailer button. My assumption would be that either this is how it is supposed to work, with only a small amount of adjustment to protect the drive's u-joint, or that the sender is bad, and cutting off the trim unit way too early. Do these go bad in this way? Thanks, -Gary |

That is exactly how they are supposed to work. As long as it goes up a little with the trim switch, and goes all the way up with the trailer button, you are just fine. |
