While I was waxing my f224 I noticed 2 very small hairline cracks on the outside of the bow of the boat running straight up from the rubber and chrome trim where the top and bottom of the hull meet. One is on each side of boat. They are easy to see because they are in the black gel. They do not look deep and at first I thought it was a scratch. Should I be concerned and have it checked out? We are planning on bringing her to the marina this weekend.
Thanks

Sounds like stress/spider cracks. To be expected over time. No structural worries, just cosmetic.

common with gel coat. Gel coat is very brittle, fiberglass is flexable, your going to get spider cracks. Only way to avoid them is not use your boat, which your not going to do.

No worry - harder to see on white gel coat is all, but we all have them somewhere if you look hard enough....i just don't look very hard:)

FYI - i avoid these around the bow hook by releasing the tension of the trailer strap when not in tow.
