Any motorcycle riders here? Anyone been out to the Dragon or Cherohala Skyway and seen the photographers like http://www.us129photos.com or http://www.KillBoy.com? Would you be interested in professional picutres of your boat coming out of the harbor? What would you be willing to pay? I've got a friend with a photo business who may be looking to bring this motorcycle idea to the harbors on Lake Michigan. He would set up shop either on the pier or on a boat taking 6-12 pictures of each boat going down the channel. You then go to his website and based on the date and time, you find your boat and order the prints / posters / coffee mugs / key chains / photo CD's / etc. right from the website. Love to hear some price point ideas. I think a decent poster size of a HD photo for $75 - $100 would be reasonable. Smaller cheaper. Suggestions? Thoughts? Ideas? |

You can get a FREE helicopter shot of your boat on 7/9/11. I like free, and overhead shots while underway. ![]() |

Yep. We had a retired newspaper photographer at our old marina that took photo's like that as a hobby for extra income. He took some of several of our boats in the channel a couple of years ago. I think I paid $8 for 8 x 10's and $10 for 11 x 14's. I have taken pictures of 3 or 4 of friends' boats myself in the channel and jumping wakes in Lake Michigan , and just sent them the high res pic and let them get their own prints. |

This is an excellent website for a high-end version of what you're describing. Perhaps your friend should check it out for ideas/pricing. |

Here in SW Florida there is a helicopter that flys just about every weekend from the company Boatpics.com. If they shoot your boat running you log onto their web site and fill out the forms and give a credit card number and keep what you like or return if you don't. I bought one 14" x 20" for my office and it was $250.00. The picture is very high quality. |
