Does anyone know the approx total weight of a 2001 268 with a 2009 all american aluminium tandem trailer,I tried looking it up and dont seem to be having much luck,so far I have found several different figures ,I think the trailer would be approx 600kg from what I have read so far and the boat approx 2300kg making a total of approx 2900kg ,does this sound correct to you guys? or am I out of the ballpark here? ,many thanks guys, Mike

You can find you boat specs here: http://www.fourwinns.com/past_product/specs//2001/19%20268%20Vista%20(p108-111).pdf

If your trailer is aluminum then it should be lighter than what Four Winns lists, their trailers are steel.

What was the weight when it was shipped to you in New Zealand ? It must have been on the manifest. Also the dealer in Punta Gorda that you bought it from, had to have it weighed before it was shipped, so they would have the exact weight as well.

Thanks Guys ,I took a look at the link you posted ,like you say my trailer will be a little lighter than the factory sttel trailer ,so my educated guess would be total weight including my trailer would be approx 3500kg ,does this sound about right to you? cheers

I dont know what a kg is    but I know my 248, wet, loaded for a week trip to the lake is well over 8000 lbs., maybe even closer to 9000 lbs.
So a 268, my bet is over 9000 lbs., that is full fuel, and water tanks, food, and all the necessary boating items for a weekend for 2-4 people

ok ,please bare in mind that my boat will be in a shipping container and will have zero fluids ,no petrol, oils ,water or anything at all ,so will be dry weight,so that should make a differance to the overall weight I would imagine, does anyone else have an aluminium trailer? how do you find them in general? ive always had steel galvanised trailer ,so this is also a new thing for me as well, cheers ,Mike :?:
