Hello all,

Had the boat out this weekend to go over, clean up, dewinterize, etc. One thing I have not been able to figure out is how to flush and fill the fresh water tank system. My 1992 sundowner has a mini sink on the port side with a faucet, etc. I cannot for the life of me locate the fresh water fill location so that I can flush/disinfect the system

Any pointers on this or anyone else had similar issues? Looked on the port side deck location, but no avail.

Thanks for the help!!!

I'm not sure about your year boat. My fresh water fill is on the top of the port side gunnel, right at the reat before it turns down for the swim platform.

I just looked at some owners manuals I downloaded from the Four Winns website. The older manual says the water fill is Port, forward of sink. Don't know if that helps.

I was stumped trying to figure this out as well. I looked at every picture of a 1992 225 Sundowner, and I could not see an external fill anywhere. Can you trace the water line back from the sink at all to see even which direction it is going, forward or aft? You should have a 1-1/2" fill somewhere that is fairly easily accessed, but also fairly intelligent for spill issues when filling. If it is not just forward of the sink on the port side bow, my guess would be all the way back on the gunwale port, or if you have the swing-door for the access to the swim platform, look for an access door there. Another place that I thought about when I installed a water tank and system, was under the pop-up area for canvas storage, if you have one. Good luck, and let us know where you find it so that we can add to our knowledge base. Also, if you have pictures of the boat, post them, and maybe we can see something that leads is to an answer.

Still no luck, I am convinced that the sink is for eye candy only...
