Hi All, Our flip up bolster on the port side is somehow out of whack. If I flip it up and push down it goes into the right position, but as soon as we bring it down it kind of sags forward. It's a little hard to describe... I hope you understand what I'm saying. I'm sure the dealer can fix it, but I'm on a mooring and I don't want to pull it out for something so small. Does anyone know how these are made? Did something come loose that I can fix? I'm going to take a better look at it today since it's not a great weather day and I'm on vacation, but I wanted to see if anyone has run into this. (It's only a year old) Thanks |

Well I answer my own question. I had time to peel back the vinyl today and it appears that the padding came unglued from the frame of the bolster. I bought some gorilla glue and I'm going to try and fit my hand in there and reglue it. I might use the whole bottle on it. ![]() |

Careful with Gorilla glue. It expands a lot. Be prepared to sit and wipe up any that oozes out where you don't want it for a good long while after you put it in place. It is pretty amazing stuff. It isn't something you can set and forget though. |

Yeah, I second the note of caution regarding Gorilla Glue. It expands like mad. That and it's a fairly brittle adhesive. I'm not sure I'd use it for this situation. I'm not entirely clear on what's gotten loose. But there are many different kinds of adhesives and most have specific materials on which they should or shouldn't be used. |

You don't have to take the whole boat to the dealer, just pop the seat out and take that along... |

Yipes! I did it this afternoon and then it started raining so I had to cover the boat and haven't been back to check on it. On the bottle it said it was good for foam which is what came loose so I figured it would be good. They had about 5 kinds of gorilla glue where I bought this. Do some work different than others? I might get my answer before anyone reads this. ![]() |

All is good. Worked like a charm. If it doesn't hold up I'll take Alec's advice and just bring the seat (or even just the bolster) to the dealer. Thanks |

Glad to hear it worked and didn't make a mess. |

Same happened to my H220SS and I am glad I read this now off to buy some gorilla glue or something that will stick that bolster back where it needs to be. Thanks for posting |
