Some pics from our Crescent Lake, Oregon trip. Spent a week on the Lake, with a sweet lake front view site of Diamond Peak at Spring Campground. Weather wasn't perfect never got above the upper 70s and a lot of winds which made the lake pretty rough at times and wasn't as smooth as we had last year. There is still a lot of snow in the mountains around the lake this year and I was told the lake hasn't been this full in the summer in nearly 30 years.

We loved having the site right on the lake, and waking up to the amazing view and going to sleep with it was wonderful.

We had 14 people out with us that week, the boat and tubing was the big draw, frankly wore me out. Told wife and friend they need their boating license so that I can enjoy not driving too.

Kids were heavily motivated to hold tight and stay on the tube due to the snow run off and the late summer weather, the water was still very chilly.

Youngest got a chance to take it out with me, he's now motivated to take his USCG class, and I'll sit in with him.

The trip down and back is about 6 1/2 hours, thankfully hauling the boat with the RV is pretty easy drive. First time I was worried about launching and retrieving with the RV, but it's pretty easy.

Beautiful! Great pics.

You've GOT to get some looks at the launch with that camper. :D

Great pics, thanks for sharing those!

Looks like you weren't trying very hard in keeping them out of the chilly water! :P

Thanks for sharing the pics. Looks like you had a lot of fun, love the RV as well. Are you running a keel guard on your boat?

Looked like a great time. I have to ask, I've seen a good bit of boats being towed by an RV. How is it to launch a boat from an RV? Can you even see it with the mirrors or just when it starts to get off center? Just curious.

Thanks for all the comments, when we went last year my wife wasn't convinced it was going to be worth the drive - after seeing the lake & the mountains she knew it was worth it.

nhprinter - we did get some looks, there were 2 other Class A's in the park but I was the only one crazy enough to launch with it. Camp host was nice and watched and said they'd try to trim some trees later that made it a challenge pulling down to the launch - didn't happen while I was there.

298VISTA2000 - There might be bears, but we've never seen any in the area. There are some lakes up the mountain that are not used by people so I'm sure they are more attractive to the bears. I stayed on this lake every summer as a kid growing up and can't recall any bear problems. I've camped enough in my life to have had bears in camp, always keeps me on edge when they are around.

StirCrazy - Shhhh don't tell them that! I did get out a few times, wife dumped me off our bat wing - water was mighty cold.

blue dragon - I'm not, but I need to. The sand wore some paint off where it was beached, thankfully nothing major that a bit of paint won't touch up. The lake has a lot of pumas that makes up the sand so its abrasive.

mattg - It really is very easy to maneuver overall, I also have rear and side cameras so besides the mirrors I can see what the boat is doing with the camera, but I'll give most the credit to my wife to knowing how to guide me down the ramp well. Due to the distance from the hitch to the rear wheels of the RV it turns pretty good going down so it doesn't off track easily and I can adjust pretty fast. I still end up taking a couple stabs at it as most the ramp areas don't have enough turn space for 55' of length. Nice part is I can get the boat in the water without getting the RV wet.
