Post subject:  I want a wakeboard boat

Two years ago I bought an '06 220 Horizon. It is the first boat we have owned. I want to sell and buy a used wakeboard boat if there still is an economy in the spring.
The question is, can you use the N.A.D.A. as a realistic guide for selling? Thanks, Dennis

Yes and No. Start doing your homework now, watch what your model sells for in you area and surrounding areas. Even go look at some used boats, compare to yours.

If you want top dollar, its going to take a while to find a buyer, if you want to sell it fast, it needs to be priced right, whether the price is comparable with NADA or not.

If you dont want the hassles of selling, trade it in on your next boat, knowing that your paying the dealer to sell it for you.

Good luck.

I sold our last FW boat for a large amount over NADA, but I held out for the right buyer.

When I was shopping I used NADA as a rough guide, but also used Search Tempest to search across multiple CraigsList listings within about 1,000 miles of where I live. When I found a local boat on the low end of the NADA guide and one of the lowest I found on CL I figured I'd found the right boat. I've used the same method when I sell to help me determine an asking price. The savvy shoppers do their homework, and I think they are less likely to jerk you around.
