I recently bought a left over 2005 vista 288 with twin 4.3 liter Volvo Ocean Series (245 hp) I/O's . The boat weighs about 10,000 pounds. I was curious as what to expect as far as MPG cruising about 3000 rpm. I assume that with 120 gallons I should get around 80-100 miles between fill ups. Am I anywhere in the ball park or am I way off base. Thanks....CIGARMAN

Fuel flow stat's for your boat and engine combo are:

3,000 RPM, Boat Speed 23 mph, Fuel Flow 16 gallons per hour.

I average 1.7 mpg at optimal cruise, '04 Vista 288 w/ twin 5.0 Gxi/DP. (per Navman3100 Fuel computer)

Fuel burn is ~ 19 gph at 3400 rmps at a speed of 32-34 mph

Looking at the Four Winns spec sheet, at 3000 rpm, the 5.0's get better economy than the 4.3's...interesting
