Anyone with tips or if you have a pair you don't use drop me a line. I am sick of the swimming pool that I run into when my rigged supports give out. Also, need a new horn the one that is on it now is definitely done! Thanks for your help guys. 8) Joe in Miami

The support poles on our SL242 would not hold any weight due to the thumb screw. I put the covers on with the poles and measured from the support arm to the floor and cut a 2" piece of PVC that I slip over the poles. The only issue now is they slip sometimes but that's an easy fix.

That is absolutely the greatest and simplest idea yet Home Depot here I come. Thanks for turning on the lightbulb up there it was getting clouded with all this marine certified talk.

I have a cap on the bottom and I think that's why it slips but I was worried of the PVC "raw" edge marking the carpet. A "T" with a couple short pieces might help.

Make sure that's ignition proof PVC

That's exactly what I was thinking maybe with some Velcro on the pvc edge and the inside of the bow cover.
