Nope! I have 2 stations within a 5 mile radius of my lake that carry no ethanol gas!

wish they would catch on around here!!!! Congrats.......it's a pain having to treat the gas and still worry if it's going to trash the fuel system.

Probably too long of a drive for you to get gas... I live in Atlanta Metro (East Cobb) but my boat and cabin are up on lake Blue Ridge in Morganton GA.

My boat loves E10. I just advanced the ign a tad and adjusted the carb.

I treated my gas with ethanol treatment on my 08 220 but was told since it's fuel injected that I don't have to worry about ethanol. I opted to add five ounces of the ethanol killer for the 50 gallons of gasoline anyway and hopefully that saves me any problems in the future.

Fuel injected engines such as yours has zero issues with E10 gasoline (pump gas with up to 10% ethanol). None what so ever. At all. For the life of the boat.

The issue with ethanol in the gasoline is the carbureted engines can not adjust for it on their own since E10 burns a tad different then regular gas. You (the owner of the boat) has to re-adjust the carb and ignition for E10 to make the boat run correctly.

May be true for a week or two while the gas is "fresh", but after that, phase seperation in the tank(water forming) will start creating a whole new set of problems. Many of the ethanol treatments help prevent this. I always use the Startron enzyme additive if I have to use ethanol blended gas.

I'm no expert on the subject, but I'd have to think that if the problem is caused in the carburetor, this would pose a problem for those of use with cruisers that have fuel injected motors, but carburetad generators. Am I right on that? I've also read that the ethanol can degrade plastic fuel lines. That true?

You don't have plastic fuel lines on a boat.

Yes, even with a generator you would want to re-tune it's carb to use E10... maybe even use an aftermarket staggered keyway on the flywheel to bump up the ignition a few degrees.
