Well went down to the boat Friday night, it was a great night, the marina was so quiet. Woke up Saturday morning and during breakfast decided to pull the boat . The next few weekends are consumed with other things. Can't wait till next year already as we are moving our boat north to Lake Simcoe. All I can do now is wait for snow to get the sled out. Just wondering if any one else has had to pull the boat out early and doesn't get to enjoy the nice quiet fall boating. Here is a pic of our new marina. We stayed there for a week on Holidays in an open slip and applied for it and got it! ![]() |

I feel your pain. Here in the Northeast, Irene has caused so much havoc, I was forced to pull the boat from Copake Lake in Columbia County NY, almost 6 weeks earlier then usual. Currently, the lake is 11 inches over the damn, making it impossible to keep any docks in good order. Still have to get her winterized in the next few weeks, but no stunning pictures of foliage for me this year. ![]() ![]() |

We pulled ours out for the storm, even though many others did not and didn't have problems, it gave me a chance to clean up and re-paint the drive with anti fouling, now when it comes out at the end of Oct it won't have a barnacle farm on it, if I get to use it 4 more times I'll be surprised though... This is a nice time of year for boating, IF it's not too cold, IF it's not too windy, IF you have the time...etc...LOL.... |

I trailer, but the problems here have involved the drought....strange year all over it seems...Arizona experiencing record flash floods, Northeast hit with Irene and here in Texas we have the worse drought and wildfires since records have been kept. Over 1500 homes lost to fires in Central Tx. Local lake is so far down the ramps are closed and lake seems like more like a pond. I can walk over where we normally water ski. I've been out ONE time and it's a damn shame. Oil change, impellor swap etc...for one trip - at least boat is ready for next year after i winterize. |

just got done winterizing mine today. I wait until late october most of the time, but have other things planned so it had to come early this year. The weather got cold fast this year and alot of the ramps are closed due to flooding so I just said the hell with it. |

It was in the mid 90s until labor day here and after that temps dropped like a stone. Did hit 80* yesterday so we went on a long cruise with the new boat, I usually winterize in late October/early November (love the fall colors on the water) but looks like it will be a little sooner this year unless it warms up. |

Winterized the boat over the weekend. Water temps are too cool. Football tickets to use and hunting season is right around the corner. So we would not have used it anyway. |

Winter Sux wrote: Starport,,,,nice ![]() Did you ever get to that anchorage I mentioned for a swim? John No I didn't but it is on the list for next year. Right out of Starport there are some very nice places to anchor. Can't wait for next year. We looked at Del Ray also but Starport was sooo nice and the service there is unbelievable. We will have to meet up next year. There are a handful of FW in Starport we will have to try to plan something. |

I'm looking at renting a place on Simcoe next spring. I promised the family I would do the big chief island sandbar and also 1000 islands. Maybe once I get it hooked up, I can see if you guys are boating at the same time. |
