It has a zip on both long sides, but doesnt seem to fit anywhere.I know there is the cover for the bimini tops (when folded up) and I have that as well, can anyone help me please? It has me beat! cheers ,Mike :?:

I had the same dilemma with my canvas. It seems that it is used if you do not fully extend the aft part of your Bimini top. It somehow zips in and keeps the rear cross section in a more forward position.

I haven't tried it....

if you do not close all the steel structure of the bimini and divide in two parts the top canvas, the front part while boating you can roll into his blue canvas envelop with written "foru winns" the rear part you can roll with this small part of canvas that is a second rear "envelop". That's it. (if it's like mine one)

Thanks ,Not sure I understand though(sorry) any chance you have a picture of you boat with the bimini top up like that please? maybe you would also know if the speedo has a tube that fits on the back of the gauge,Im thinking that maybe where my water leak is coming from,my speedo doesnt work(never has since I bought it) so if that tube was damaged or broken ,could be the leak and why the speedo isnt working,I owned an odler boat that worked like this, but not sure if the 268 uses the same method to operate the speedo(like a capillary tube?) thanks ,Mike

it's when you take the bimini in two separate arches, without closing the rear one onto the front one. In this picture you can see the rear stell arch with the rear bimini part rolled on it and the front arch with the bimini open.
To roll the rear fabric around its rear arch you have to close it in that small rectangular part you are asking about. It's only the outside "envelop" with zip for closing.
Yes sometime it's hard for me explaining since english is not my mother language I apologize for this.

for the speedo i really don't know but it can be as well that the small pipe leaks water, surely the check of the pump needs only few seconds. try with it as well.

Some speedos do use a a tube for water pressure to indicate speed. One end goes into the back of the speedo. The other end is either on a plastic bracket on the transom that hangs below the bottom of the boat, or some newer one's are integrated into the outdrive lower housing.

The other type of speedo uses a paddle wheel on the transom and wires for signal into the speedo.
