Lot's of people spend time on these houseboats during the late fall and even some into the winter. I wonder if there was some sort of heater being used. There is nothing in the reports yet indicating a cause. My buddy is a captain on our local department and he usually finds out the source of the fire at some point but so far there is no word. This is at one of the other marinas on our lake. It sure sucks anyway and I feel sorry for the owners of the three boats.

I hate to say this but my 3 year old son was enthralled and I doubt it was a space heater on that high-end houseboat. The fire started in the front so I guess that rules out the bilge heater. Too bad for the owner.

That video made me so sad for the owners of those boats hope no one was hurt.

Wow that stinks. We have been to that marina many times & there are lots of really nice houseboats. What a shame.
