ATLANTA – Atlanta-based Singleton Marine Group has finalized the acquisition of Phil Dill Boats Inc., a single-location dealership with a more than fifty-year existence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Singleton said he has no plans to make drastic changes at Phil Dill Boats as he has high regard for the Phil Dill name and its staff. Currently, Singleton also plans to continue selling Phil Dill Boats’ current boat lines: Four Winns, Yamaha and Regal – the only brand sold at Singleton’s other locations.

Wow - thats where i bought my boat last year. Surprising - i can say Phil Dill is a great dealership in my opinion. All staff were helpful and that was up to last week when i called service for some fogging advice on MPI engines. Hope the new owners don't screw up a good thing. After i bought the boat - Mr. Dill came in and shot the bull with me and my son. I was impressed with how he manned the ship so to speak. Those are some big shoes for someone to fill.

Me and my boy drove 5 hours to the dealership on a Saturday to get a trial run and inspect a boat i had put a deposit on. We left early cuz we were excited about it and showed up a couple hours ahead of schedule. I called when we were close fully expecting to have some waiting to do - understandable, right. For all i know it was Mr. Dill who took the call - regardless, the person i talked to said you drove far enough - come on and you will be taken care of.

I pulled up - our soon to be new boat was hooked up to their truck and the Captian introduced himself and we were off to the lake. UHHHH - i said lets do it and they had it detailed out again as i was signing the dotted lines. I asked some questions about engine service (my first VP) and the salesman said hold on - he left (i'm thinking what the heck), he returned with one of their mechanics who ran it all down to me.

Pretty good stuff right - well i start to back my truck up to hook up and go. The Captain comes up and says he would like me to wait a few minutes cuz he inspected the boat and the rear seat brackets were hanging up - he ordered a new sliding bracket assembly to be installed....also said the neoprene bow roller supports were flat and he ordered new ones. Really !!!

I hope the Atlanta Company doesn't screw that kind of service up.

My buddy is the finance guy there. He found out last Friday but asked me not to say anything. He said it would be all over the boat world by Monday or Tuesday....he was right.

Unbelievable service! Sounds like they treated you like they would one of their own family. I wish you good luck with the new owners 8)

When i got my boat they had a few new 4W's inside, bust most were Regal and Sea Doo looking stuff. My boat was used when i got it (60 hrs) - they dropped 4W soon afterwards, but assured me they would continue to provide full line service.

I worked with Phil Dill Boats for about 10 years and they are a class operation. To my understanding they have kept everyone from the Sales Mgr, Service Mgr, and all the salespeople so I bet it will remain a class operation. FYI, I moved up to Lake Ozark and joined Surdyke Yamaha (which has just picked up the Four Winns). Glad to be back in the Four Winns Fold!
