Made a local boat shop a cash offer of $750, they took. Brand new 2800lb rated single axle galvanized trailer for my 2000 Horizon 180. I currently do not have a trailer as the original rotted too bad and I sold it for scrap and my boat has been sitting in the water since June. Yay |

So your trailer only lasted 11 years? Is that all I can expect from mine? |

Painted trailers are not a problem in fresh water as long as you look after them. In salt water I would only ever have a galvanized trailer unless you maybe only haul it in and out once a season, in which case you may get away with a painted trailer for 5 years or more. I got the galvanized and gatorhyde coated trailer. Sure the srings are a little rusty and so are some of the nuts and bolts, but the trailer itself still looks like new 5 years down the track. |

My painted trailer never saw a day of salt water. It rotted from the inside out. The only thing holding it together was the paint. |
