I'm a newbie here, and I did not think my boat, 1994 Four Winns Sundowner had any oxidation either, but a buddy of mine owns an auto body shop and said I would be amazed how much shine I could get out of the boat if I did a couple of steps as opposed to trying to just wax it.
I bought a buffer and used the oxidation remover and was really impressed, just how much better the already good looking finish was. After that it has become an obsession, so I have polished the boat using 3M's Perfect it #2 polish and swirl mark remover, and now I find myself getting anal as I have both overhead flourescent light and side quartz halogen lights, while working on things, so I am going to hit it again with the #2. The rest of my steps are below. If your boat is in good shape, check the link to Meguiars Flagship, may save you all the steps I'm doing.
Step 1: Meguiars #49 oxidation remover
Step 2: 3M Perfect it #2 polish and swirl mark remover
Step 3: 3M Perfect it #3 ultra fine machine polish
Step 4: Meguiars flagship permium marine wax.
