I just purchased my very first boat!

A Four Winns 2007 180 Horizon with a 3.0L i/o, bimini top, upgraded graphics, full instrumentation, sport seating with bolsters, and matching trailer.

I live in Canada so right now I am looking at snow, and at this point all I can do is dream about the upcoming summer and look at all the pictures I took of my boat.

It is now in indoor storage and now I am looking for a tow vehicle, currently looking at a Acura MDX

Thanks very much....next step, the Toronto boat show in a couple of weeks. Bought the kids a wakeboard for Christmas, now we need a tube or two, and a trailering cover

Congrats !!!!!

Another person for my new club. It's the" Buy a boat out of season and hurry up and store it club !! Pretty much will guarantee the coldest spring in years for us first time boat owners. Ice won't melt off the lakes until July with my luck... How much ice can the hull break thru ??

Congratulations and welcome.

Canada must be the only locale that's as bad as Kansas as far as winters are concerned.

Congrats!

I have a H180 3.0 VP also. With the factory 19p aluminum prop the perfect speed is almost exactly @ 3200rpms. If people do a lot of tricks it can be "tricky" to keep the speed right by hand though, some good turns and tricks will slow the boat down and you'll loose plane if you don't adjust since plane speed is 3050rpms at least on the 98-2004 hull design.

If you're going to be doing a lot of wakeboarding and towing, I highly highly suggest a PerfectPass system. It's cruise control for a boat. Get the top of the line Wake Setter edition that controls the MPH via GPS. You set MPH, mash the gas, and it takes over and keeps the boat at the set MPH no matter what. My buddies boat has one, it's amazing. It's good for everything, even just cruising. Takes your eyes off the gauges and on the water. It also gives you an accurate MPH gauge. The factory MPH gauge is there for looks, it doesn't actually read anything close to right.

Oh, and get a good mirror.

Are you doing your boating on a lake or salt water?

MuskokaDB + Toronto boat show = my guess would be fresh water, but I've assumed wrong before.

No snow in NB Canada yet, but temps dropped significantly today, so I'm sure it's coming
