Just curious what slip rental goes for around the nation ( world ) Just signed our lease $ 1,850, for a 30 foot slip, includes, pool, showers, cleaning stations, toilets, shore power, water, common grills, picnic tables under shelters....

I pay $180/yr for an uncovered slip with power/water up to 22ft. HOA owned dock. Private access only 550 acre lake. Luckily there's an apartment complex across the lake that's popular with the college girls. It has a beach with volleyball court, bbq grills, and pool lake side. 99% of my boating consists of just beaching over there. On a busy summer funday weekend I'll burn a maximum of 5 gallons of gas with the 3.0 VP hauling girls around.

We pay $435.00/month for year round use. I am in a covered 40x17 size slip that has water (free) and electric (metered). Our marina has private security gates, cameras, ship store, fuel, pump out, Bathroom with showers, full time dock hands etc...

It's the nicest marina on our lake, by far. I wish it was a "little" more of a party atmosphere than it is. There is another marina on our lake that party's until 4am pretty much every weekend...that's too much for me and our kids for sure. Still, TxVista and I slip right behind each other and we always have a great time along with a couple others.

I pay $2,700 per year for covered slip with my own section of lawn and parking at the slip. Power and water at the slip. I'm allowed to mount my satellite dish at the slip. Heated pool, clubhouse with sauna. Free pumpouts and premium non ethanol fuel,,,fuel aint free though :( . Haul out, splash and winter storage all included for that price, although I store elsewhere indoors. Always clean washrooms and showers and the owners will always have you over for a beer or ten, not to mention a few bashes throughout the season. It's not the typical yacht club where members are required so many hours work per year but more of a marina. We love it there and would never think of leaving :D

Sounds like the marina where my father keeps his sailboat. 30 something foot catalina. Showers, bathrooms, store, wifi, and more beer then you could drink provided by the owners chillin on their porch. They throw big events for every holiday since a bunch of the people that moor there (st Augustine, fl) are travelers on their way elsewhere. I think he lives there more then home.

You hit the nail on the head there Ric,,,,sounds exactly the same. Although they promote partying and good times, it's quiet time at 11 PM,,,period. Pretty much everyone has passed out long before that though  . I forgot to mention wifi included too.

I can barely stay up past 11 without any beer, let alone after 10 or more. As a newbie owner, I hope the marina we chose is fun like some of these. http://www.pier33.com/Page.aspx/pageId/22073/Our-Facilities.aspx The side we are on has 2 restaurants as well, one fancier one with tableclothes, the other a classic dive bar where the sign on the door says " shoes/flipflops required, clothing optional" I CAN'T WAIT FOR SPRING !!!

$1,295 for in/out service - which we absolutely love. Still get full use of pool and facilities at the marina. Pick up the phone and order your boat, pull into the dock at the end of the day and walk away. Boat stays dry and clean. 20 minutes to Lake Michigan, 8 minutes to head upstream on the Grand River, and 3 minutes to the end of the No Wake area of Spring Lake.

If I ever put my boat on the St John's river, I'd need to get something bigger. It's only 30 minutes away, but I can go from Sanford, FL to Jacksonville, FL if one wanted to. One day maybe.. but for now I kinda like the whole private lake thing

Up here in Boston or N.E. for that matter, prices are high!! So I am a member of the local yacht club, which in non-profit. Prices at the bar, food or anything are low. We pay $23 per foot for a slip + $120 for water & power. The mariners in the area get $80 to $125 per foot. For that reason, there is a 2 year waiting list to join. Once in, a 2 to 4 year wait for a slip.

As a club, we exchange privileges with other clubs in Mass & R.I. Transient docking for 2 or 3 hours is free and overnight mooring at other clubs is generally free too along with the use of there facilities. Its a great exchange program & a way to meet new boaters!!

Paul I, I was on Lake Ontario for a few years and our marina had reciprocal agreements with other marinas as you mentioned. Ours wasn't worth the paper it was written on (our contract) cause when we radioed in for a transient all was fine till we showed our marina pass cards as we were supposed to but NADA :x . Seems our marina was the only one to honor this.

I hope you don't get screwed like we did.

No, we don't. Like most clubs, we have 4 slips open for that reason. If there filled, then they can go on a mooring and take the launch. Some clubs are bigger or smaller than others, but they do try.
