The zodiac stuff and the stars are aligned. My hauler was available and I splashed today. Just 3 boats in and 2 are runabouts. We have BYC to ourselves. Floating on March 31st is unheard of in these parts.

Man,,,the beer tastes so good.

Nice to hear! I'm down at Holland River Marina near Bradford and they've scheduled April 10 to start lowering all of the boats. This sure is a nice time of year...looking forward to a great safe season on the water :D

Wow, your in early for sure. Nobody is in at our Marina yet, it's Queens Cove in Victoria Harbour on Georgian Bay. A few weeks ago we were in the 70's and 80's, just wonderful, but this morning we have light snow on the ground!!
I'm launching end of April, which is typical for me. It's been an nice early spring here for sure, and next week it's supposed to warm up somewhat again so have fun!

Good stuff John! Still a bit too early up here. Both our lakes still have a good scab of ice on them. Not that I can get the boat home yet anyways. We had our basement flood with the fast melt that we had, and are now into the job of having our weeping tile redone... entire yard is ripped up, what a mess!

I say we still have a few weeks to go before we can splash.

They were calling for 5 yesterday but I'd say it got to 12. It was a lovely day. I slept great last night and awoke to the sound of rain on the cabin. I went above deck to have a look and that rain was ice pellets and snow. I still love it :D

Oh ya,,,,the best part of my splash! I filled her up just outside of town,,ya, ya, I know,,,ethanol but she has Star Tron added. Anyway, she was just above 1/4 tank and I was expecting about 600 bux. It was taking forever to fill. When it clicked off, I climbed down off my ladder and it was 125 bux!!! The lady on the other side of the pump with a little car was bitching cuz hers took 97 bux and said it's never over 60. Tell me that pump isn't fubar'd and I got the good side. The gauge reads full :D Both engines fired up like they were just shut off and everything else is working fine. The water isn't on here yet so I wont know about that till next time.

I was in high school a thousand years ago when gas was just over a dollar a gallon which was crazy high. Many gas pumps were still rotary manual style and full serve was no longer around. I had a price dial hang up and filled her up for a couple dollars....had to write a check for two bucks but left with a smile...now I would pay for it but for a kid working his butt off and going to school it was a blessing for sure.
