Sorry guys had to abondon-ship...............so to speak. At 51 years old I found myself without a job in November. The demographics for me at my age are not good, so I'll be starting school again.... in May...never too old to get edjumicated.... I posted the 190 on C/L for a mere 4700 (not bad for a 19 year old boat) had an almost fist-fight in the front yard for it.....I only wanted 4700...... It brought 5k......
I had to pull the old standby, 1966 Boston-Whaler Sport 13 ,out of the bushes this week, got it running today after re-building the fuel-system. It ain't pretty, but see you guys on the water!!!!

Sorry to hear about your turn of events but glad to hear you will still be able to hit the lake with the Whaler. I don't think I could ever fully give up boating even if that meant downsizing to a row boat...sounds like you might feel the same way  Best of luck with this new chapter in your life!

Best of luck to you on starting on school and a new path in life. And hey, there's nothing wrong with running around in a classic whaler! Still amongst one of my favorite boats, the 13' sport.... very cool!

Great for you on returning back to school. We're not out of the game till were six feet under!!
Im 42 and I went back to school and fell into a higher paying position and feel the same is bound to happen to you. With age comes great wisdom and leadership. Hang in there it will get better. Whale away. :D

Thanks for the support guys. I'm very fortunate to have a wife with a masters-degree......... :D
I've been working without a six-month vacation for about 25 years, I'm sorta enjoying it!!!!!
Did find out some intresting news about the Whaler tho. My uncle, who gave it to me , said it was a 1966, after some research , it's not, it's a 1959. Stencil # (HIN) 1602...I found it after stripping some paint in the correct place. Kinda cool to dig up history.

Depends on who you ask....if in salt then every season...if u trailer and only in fresh I say every other season.....if u keep her wet all season in slip then every year....that's my opinion anyway. Too cheap to not protect the heart of the boat

Once a season for me in the salt water, I also keep a new spare in the boat along with an extra belt and a new set of hoses and clamps. That should pretty much take care of any on the water issues as far as I can tell and don't forget those pesky fuses lots of them also.

I agree. Too cheap of a part not to replace it every spring. Boat stays in trailer and in storage when not being used. Hints why it still looks new. Thanks guys for input.

Same as mine on trailer and in storage when not in use, no sun or dust gets on mine.
