Post subject:  First Ride of the Season - Ya Baby

Hi Guys, for us Canuck's the season has just started, went for a joy ride tonight. First outing of the season, left my house at 7:00 pm drove for 45 min to launch it, took it for a spin for about 45 minutes and headed back into the Marina for 9:00 pm before it got dark and loaded it back on the trailer, got it tucked away back in the garage by 10:30 pm.

It felt great to get back out there and the lake barely had a ripple in it which is very unusual for this lake (Lake Simcoe for those Ontario guys).

Ran like a Champ - I have the U17 220 Hp - the donzi look alike or what some people call - The Fonzi.

Take Care and Be Careful

HA. We all feel your pain Mike. Not able to hit the water this weekend even? Not to rub it in or anything but we will be at 90 this weekend and the water is around 75. Not too bad.

Right on Bruce!

Yes it has been a slow start to the season here in Ontario, with temps all over the place. We have 4 rides in so far, and are heading out for number five tonight!

Simcoe is like Lake Nipissing, often rough and unpredictable. We do our boating on a smaller lake in North Bay called Trout Lake. It doesn't matter how windy it is, the wave action is never a concern.

Love that U-17. Sweet ride!

MD, it's raining here today, and the current forecast shows rain & storms most of the weekend  . The lake we normally do day trips to is currently 14 FEET high - all ramps, parking lots, etc., are completely underwater and the marinas all have giant "logjams" of dead timber, brush, trash, crap, and everything else you can imagine clogging their entrances. Even after the water drops, that stuff's going to be everywhere - including just below the surface.

Hi Mike, I'm sure a lot of us have never experienced what you folks and others have had to deal with lately with all this nasty weather. Seems like good old Mother Nature has a mean streak in her.

All you can do is wait it out, as I say, I can't imagine what it's like to see that kind of stuff.

Take Care

Been a crazy spring everywhere. Some people are still getting snow.

Had the new boat out last Saturday. She ran like a dream and despite the chill out on the lake and the 61 water temp, it was SO great to be back on the water. My wife had to pry my hands of the wheel to drag us back to the city when it was time.
