I am planning on visiting family near Traverse City and I was considering visiting the Cadillac factory since it is only 25 miles away from where we'll be.

Where can I get information about factory tours?

I'd call FW at 231 775-1343.

We toured the plant in October '05 when our 378 was being built. FW was very couteous and provided a detailed tour of the cruiser plant for my wife and I. While it isn't particulary pretty or clean (like some the automotive plants I have toured) it was interesting to see how they bring everything to the boat, load it in then drop on the deck. With the different boats in varying stages of completion it was easy to see how everything was put in place (electrical, plumbing, engines, interior, accessories, etc.)

Did/do they allow photographs?

I believe they did allow pictures but we did not take any.

Enjoy your visit. I recall there being a pretty good Mexican restaurant in town.
