Put her in today. Had to reinstall the props after having them tuned up and a few dings taken out. Oil change and drive service done yesterday so it was perfect timing. Boat started up great, idled out to the channel and my temp gauge went up and the alarm went off. Put it in neutral, reved the motor a bit, and began moving forward again, temp dropped and all was fine. I'm hoping just an air bubble, debris on the intake, or just a fluke. Drove the boat for another 90 minutes including a high speed (53 MPH) 5 mile run up Spring Lake. All ran and performed just fine other than my initial heating issue. It's nice to be back on the water!

We put her in today and tied her up for the summer. 15 minutes was all we got in before the rain, then hail, then snow started. Suppose to snow tonight a little bit then Monday be back in the high 60s. Can't wait to boat without a beanie on!

We're heading out Sunday. Temps should be upper 80s on the Columbia river.
Did our Mothers Day BBQ ribs today so i didn't have to worry about smoking times.

Where did you put in Capn? Big lake was rough. We turned around at the old CG Station on way out and then ran up Spring Lake?

We put in at Hartshorn ramp in Muskegon. Muskegon Lake was calm, then went into Bear Lake for an hour, and ate lunch at The Bear Lake Tavern. Got a quick burst at WOT on Bear Lake with 1/2 tank fuel and just the wife and I, hit 56mph on GPS and it was not done accelerating yet. Generally taking it easy with the new boat, until I get 20 hours on her. Up to 4.5 hours so far. But I just had to open her up for a few seconds :D

How deep was the channel into Bear Lake. I heard it was pretty much a lost cause to get in there.

3 ft to 4 ft from the bridge into Bear Lake. A couple of spots were 2-1/2 feet, but I did not have to trim up to get through it. There is a 28ft Formula cruiser that is docked at a house on the Lake, and he got in okay.

Good to know. I hope to make a quick run up there for a burger one of these days.

Ours is going is sometime this week. Kids have a half day of school on Friday so we'll get a head start on the weekend. Plus we'll have a shakedown to get any bugs worked out before Memorial Day weekend.

Had the marina launch my boat on saturday, the weather was not too good so we just went for a short ride. At least we now have the boat in it's slip for the season.

Told you not to buy that fast of a boat ...no chance I will be able to keep up. How is the new Hartshorne ramp?

As long as my new blower comes in by Friday, hoping to make maiden voyage of 2012 on Saturday.
