Hey, it actually looks like a lake (albeit a huge one), and not Victory at Sea for a change!

Nice!!

Spring Lake or the river here we come!

I haven't been up the river this year yet so that may be the plan. I need to get up to Bear Lake for a burger one of these days...

I guess if I go out the Holland channel and turn left the waves will be 1 foot smallet than if I turn right?
I tend to go south anway since there is more activity down that way than to the north.

Waves 1ft or less all weekend at the southern tip of the lake. Should be a great weekend to test out both dinghys, and take in the fireworks from Navy Pier Saturday night.

What you talking about Willis? You saying we're not doing anything up here fun in Grand Haven?

I'm just talking about a short trip of 5 miles or less. Nothing wrong with Grand Haven!

You know I'm kidding. We like to head south when we can. We like the run to Muskegon, but it's a little longer stretch to run into Lake Macatawa. I'm hoping to do the GH to South Haven run this summer at least once.

All I can say is we are VERY fortunate to have this wonderful lake to play on.

Hmmmmm,

A return to Florida mid May as a present for my daughter on her 21st birthday, returning to extremely unseasonable warm weathr here in the UK with no wind, when I finished getting the boat ready. Launched our boat last Friday, I made a short trip around the bay on my own as my wife was at work, coming down to the coast late afternoon.. Glad I did, nothing but rain, temperatures in the mid 50's and gale force winds since and much the same promised until the end of July if some forecasts are to be believed.

I suspect it's going to be a short season; like it has been since 2005; I might sell the boat and buy a nice car instead.

I have a car for sale  I don't think it will get much use now that I have a boat.

Too bad I already found a boat. Maybe we could have worked a trade.
The steering wheel is on the wrong side for you anyway.
