Is anyone running nitrous I have a few spare bottles, and plates lying around, plugs are easy to change, and the kick always brings a smile on dry land. I should probably take a long hard look at the prop first, but why not?.

It's one thing to dump power quickly into an auto transmission. It's another thing entirely (and not in a good way) to dump it into the constant-duty nature of a low end recreational boat. As in, you're asking for very expensive trouble. That and the boost you'd get wouldn't gain much due to a number of factors. One being hull drag, another being prop cavitation.

There's an old saying about boats, "there's no replacement for displacement". As in, get a bigger engine.

Sheeetttt... if I owned a H180 with a 5.0GL I would have already been the first four winns owner to break 70mph in a H180. I have a summit racing catalog on my desk with the parts already picked out hahaha!

Okay. Thanks...
I guess I will have to start working on a 383 as a replacement for the 305...I have the parts lying around so I thought I would pose the question.

Now you're talking! Keep it under 400hp though, that's around the limit of an SX
