Hi Everyone,
Sad to say I have been diagnosed with Herniated disc between L4&L5, compression fracture of T12 &L1. I have been having spinal decompressing for 4 months now and about to undergo Bi Lateral nerve blocking injections. I am really worried about this. I have good days and really bad days. On bad days I want the injections, good days I worry will it paralysis me if it goes wrong. The needle is guided by X-ray to make sure it hits the right nerve, but and a big but there are still risks. Does anyone know of friends or buddies that have had any back problems,,,
Thanks Guys,,, Ray.
.P.S. The boat didn't cause the problem. But I don't want to have to let the boat go yet.LOL

Had roughly the same issue from Feb last year until I finally had my shot in Oct. It took about a week to feel better, and it was the most painful experience of my life... but I would do it again! I've never felt better, and with work I spend lots of time travelling via car or plane, with no more discomfort! BTW I only needed 1 shot; They typically recommend a series of 3?

I have herniated L4/L5 and L5/S1. I tried a epidural steroid injection for L4/L5 and got no relief from it, so I did not try it for the L5/S1. I ended up having microdiscectomy surgery for both and am very happy with the results. With the L4/L5 I had pain going down the right leg and ended up with drop foot.

Good luck, I know how painful it can be.
