We've had at least 6 inches of rain here in Orlando. My boat is getting beat up at the dock. It's not hitting anything but it's exactly 90* to the wind/waves that are blowing towards it. On lunch break I added some more spring lines just in case, but after work you bet I'm headed out to play in the waves :)

You can have it. With all the waves that get kicked up in the bay by wind and 32+ ft yachts driven by yahoos they get real old real quick.

Plus the GF constantly nagging me to slow down because I'm making her nervous (usually around 25-28 MPH) doesn't make the situation any more enjoyable.

I know those sailboat guys loose their pants in conditions like this. It's an all out celebration. I'm just talking about my 500 acre lake, it's still whipping up a constant 1-2 in a steady 30mph wind. I've had my boat in bigger lakes in 2-3ft wind chops and it's quite stable and enjoyable as long as you drop the hammer. Slow down under 25mph and you get beat up.

That's what I keep trying to tell her. Falls upon def ears

By the time I get up to cruising speed she's freaked out and I can either A) continue at an acceptable pace and get my ass chewed out later, or B) slow down, get beat up by the waves, and keep her happy.

All things considered, I choose A

Have fun tooling around in the chop!

Well I went out. Docking was a pain, had to drift in like one of those race cars on speed network with a 35mph cross wind. Above 25mph it was like driving in a luxury car. Stupid four winns stable-v I wanted a roller coaster.
