The prior owner installed a GPS speedo on my boat. So right now, the speedo pickup tube is disconnected from the pitot. He mentioned using the pitot and tube from the old speedo to hook up a water temp/depth combo gauge, but I can't find one anywhere. Anyone have any ideas? I can't hook the tube to the pitot right now or else it'll just shoot water all over the boat.

Every water temp / depth gauge I have ever seen utilizes and electronic pickup. The pitot tube will only support a pressure sensitive type gauge such as water pressure or speed.
I am sure what the previous owner would have been talking about.

That's what I can't figure out - all of the ones I've seen have an electronic transducer for the depth and water temp.

I hate having the tube just dangle there though.

If the pressure driven speedometer has not been removed, why not reconnect it? If the gauge is gone, I'd remove the pitot and fill the holes in the transom with a good sealant.
