Anyone know who makes or sells a good swivel mount for a Lowrance HDS-5 GPS/Sounder?

I'm thinking of going with a Johnny Ray mount from Cabelas, but I'm not sure it will fit right. If it is close, though, it will probably be ok. I used to have one of these mounts, and it worked well. I just don't want to have the sounder in a fixed mount position. I like the idea of being able to adjust it a little bit.

Try http://www.ram-mount.com/ Dan - they have a really good range and all reports I have seen have been good.

Thanks, Aussie. I like RAM mounts, but I don't want this one to stick up very much. I'd like it to work like a Garmin mount I saw today that was standard height, but had a swivel base. That way, it will fit on the dash but won't stick up too far.

Thanks again!

Dan

I picked up a Johnny Ray 500 and it works perfectly, and only 20 bucks. It maintains a pretty low profile, too. Much lower than the Johnny Ray mount I had years ago.

I also received a Sirius Satellite weather antenna to go with my HDS-5. It will be nice to be able to see storm systems coming and lightning strikes, so we can get off the water with plenty of warning. Cool stuff. Can't wait to try it out.
