My depth gauge is on the way out and looking to replace it. How difficult is installing a new transducer? Before I buy a replacement I wanted to get some advice from people who have done it. It does not look complicated but it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks in advance

I just had a transducer installed at a local marine dealer for $100...spoke with a few people and regardless of experience level, it's better to have something like this done professionally.
