So my fish finder worked last year, meaning that it monitored the water depth, temperature, and if there were fish present, it would plot them out. But this year I get no readings at all. The unit has power, but isn't receiving any info to display. Any tips on where to start and what to do there? Thanks.

Ben

I have a fish finder on my little aluminum fishing boat that does the same thing. If we clean off the transducer really well at the beginning of the season, it works just fine. Some kind of film gets on it if we don't, and it won't give us any reading outside of knowing that the power is on.
