I just put one of these in my 88 H200 and interfaced it with the Standard Horizon DSC radio I've had for about 7 years. When you have the GPS on and turn on the radio you can see your position on the radio screen. Being able to relay your position to the CG in an emergency is worth its weight in gold. If you're on a small lake the importance of this might not be obvious but out in the deep blue sea (Long Island Sound for me) its well worth it. Luckily the CG is right nearby in Eatons Neck Long Island, I go right past them every time we go out in the Sound. |
